Answers
Is there a way to type all my information into my
computer and install it on the palm?
Currenty there is not. I hope to be able to build a conduit
in the future but I am lacking the resources (skills, time, programming
languages). I am learning though so don't give up on me. I
will send out an email to all those who have registered if I ever complete
this project.
Can I import information from MIS?
Yeah that would be nice! First I would need to build
the conduit, so refer to the previous question. Once I have a conduit
it probably wouldn't be too hard. I built this at the request of
many HVTracker users so I am not an Elders Quorum President or anyone that
should have access to the home teaching information. I am an assistant
ward clerk though so maybe if I get around to building a conduit I can
look into trying to import information.
If I beam this to someone is all the my information
transferred as well?
Only the application is transferred so feel free to beam away!
I want to share my information whith someone.
Can I beam it?
Sorry. I haven't yet figured out how to
beam individual databases. There is a work-around to this dilemma though.
If you look in your Palm back-up directory, back-ups of your
information should be made. Find the six following databases and put them on a disk
or email them to the person you would like to share the information with:
Districts.PDB
Supervisors.PDB
Companionships.PDB
Teachers.PDB
Families.PDB
Visits.PDB
Hint: Either do a search for these files or look in C:\Palm\<HotSync
LastF>\Backup\
Can I beam information to someone who has
HVTracker?
See the answer to the previous question. Once I can figure
out the other one, look for this in the future.
